Type of aircraft we fly
General Aviation Planes
Mercy Flight Southeast pilots own or rent the planes used to fly missions. The planes range from four-to-six seat single or twin engine aircraft. Most of the aircraft flown are not pressurized and actual flight time is a bit longer than a commercial airline. Although these aircraft are comfortable, weight and space are common issues in aviation. For this reason, passengers are asked to provide information about their weight and the weight of carry-on items before a pilot is contacted for the mission. Weight is restricted to a maximum total of 500 lbs. including 50 lbs of luggage (split into two soft bags). Restrooms and food service are not available on these flights.
